About ELÉ

The inspiration behind ELÉ is based on what it invokes, a sense of freedom and independence.

ELÉ is short for the Greek Goddess of freedom, Eleutheria (Ελευθερία).Eleutheria was also attributed to goddess Artemis. Artemis, as the Goddess of the hunt, she was extremely observant and had exceptional strategic skills.

Prior to ELÉ being developed, dressing on your own could have required us all tapping into our inner 'ELÉ', to zip up form fitting dresses using dental floss, string, ribbon or anything accessible while traveling.

Goddess Eleutheria also was the inspiration behind the Bahamian island, Eleuthera (eleútheros), meaning "free". Eleuthera is the birth place of the Bahamas and ELÉ's color, design, and simplicity is inspired by this beautiful island.

ELÉ is not only a device and product, but a travel and lifestyle brand. The ability to live, travel, and dress on your own gives each of us a sense of ELÉ- freedom and independence.
